I have written a CD based book that covers my building of the Russian PPs-43 sub-machine gun from a demilled parts kit through a functioning, legal and BATF approved semi-automatic 7.62X25 pistol. While I documented building a pistol version, the information can be used to build a carbine version of this gun.
I built my first PPs-43 as a pistol as I didn't like the long barrel look on this gun. This turned out to be a great plinker and caused a lot of comments at the range! I have since followed this up with a carbine build featuring the Aurora Faux Suppressor (fake can) and legal 16" barrel.

This is done to your bolt and return spring unit and should require only minor fitting adjustment for friction points in your individual receiver.
This bolt is intended for use with Remington 870/1100 type trigger units and repair sections utilizing a pressed in blocking rail in the top. Units such as the WiseLight, Military Gun Supply and Weapons Guild ones are compatible. Some minor fitting may be required on the bolt channel for some units.
The price is $150.00 plus $15 for shipping. Add $5 for insurance and delivery confirmation.
Includes the following:
- 1. Drilling through the bolt for the firing pin.
- 2. Tapping, fitting and flush milling a steel firing pin bushing.
- 3. Providing a new firing pin and return spring.
- 4. Milling the top denial bar channel
- 5. Milling the hammer clearance channel on the bottom.
- 6. Removing the original full auto sear notch.
- 7. Modify return spring unit.
In addition I am offering my "Clark Charging Handle" modification which makes cocking the gun easier and adds two much needed ounces of weight to the bolt. This will be $35 additional if desired.
100% receivers
100% receivers cannot be offered for this gun due to BATF regulations. The receiver unattached to a semiauto converted lower constitutes an illegal machine gun.

This build is based on the Remington 870 family of trigger systems and is NOT subject to the problems other builds are having. No missfires, blown cases and restrictions of new commercial ammo only! This gun is safe with any surplus ammo that is safe in a pistol.

For this service I need the following parts:
- Complete parts kit (less mags) including receiver rear, rear sight and front shroud, bolt and spring and lower frame unit.
- Front trunnion
- Trunnion bracket
- Barrel
- Remington trigger group. (870, 1100, 11-48, 11-87, 742 or similar)
I build your kit and DuraCoat it in your choice of colors. Gray, matte black and Parker are standard. Any other color add $20. I include the GunBuilds exclusive feature (I invented it) - the "Swiss Cocking Handle" It adds needed weight to the bolt and makes cocking the gun much easier.
If you don't have a barrel, I will include a custom barrel (10" pistol or 16" rifle extension) with trunnion and bracket for $150 additional.
For a new Remington (aluminum) fire control group (if available) add $125.
Kit build cost - labor, small parts and DuraCoat only - $500 plus $25 return shipping and insurance.

Complete Firearm - FFL Item
This is a complete, out of the box, ready to go gun!
It's based on the PPs-43 parts kit, but is called the "ClarkPPs-08". It is built around the PPs-43 parts kit and the Remington 870 family of trigger groups. This yields a tough, reliable and safe gun with a functional safety.
There are a very limited number of these that I can make based on parts kit availability. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery from my receipt of funds.
Since this is a custom build, you have a choice of a pistol build or a rifle build. Due to Federal Law, the pistol will have the stock welded closed and the rifle will have a 16+" barrel.
The cost will be $770 plus $25 shipping to your FFL dealer.
